Kseniya Sovenko is a world-ranked professional ballroom dancer, beginning her training when she was only 4. During her amateur career, she was consistently ranked amongst the top 6 couples nationally, traveling abroad to represent the USA at world championship tours. Having turned professional in 2016, she quickly climbed the ranks and placed 6th amongst new professionals at the world championship at Blackpool Dance Festival.
She competes exclusively in the Modern Standard division, which includes Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep, though she is also excellent with the Latin dances: Cha-cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. In 2014, she made the top 30 in the Fox reality show “So You Think You Can Dance.” Kseniya also trained in modern ballet for several years and is passionate about hip-hop and freestyling.
